About the Role

The selected candidate will join a specialized reinsurance team focused on Credit, Political Risks (CPR), and Surety lines, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Specialty Reinsurance. This role requires expertise in quantitative risk modeling and credit analysis to guide underwriting, portfolio management, and strategic planning across international markets.

Responsibilities

Design and manage technical pricing frameworks and models for credit, political risk, and surety reinsurance contracts
Examine historical loss data, exposure metrics, and key risk factors to shape underwriting strategies
Provide analytical support for capital modeling, loss reserving, and portfolio optimization efforts
Work closely with underwriting, risk, and finance departments to ensure pricing reflects risk-adjusted return targets
Track and assess portfolio performance along with critical risk indicators
Assist in accumulation risk monitoring and scenario analysis, particularly for systemic and geopolitical exposures
Support stress testing processes, risk appetite frameworks, and reinsurance structure design
Contribute to new product development and market entry strategies in emerging regions
Help build and deploy portfolio management systems and tools
Evaluate the credit quality of corporate and sovereign borrowers across global markets
Review financial statements, industry conditions, and macroeconomic trends for credit risk assessment
Assess the value and reliability of external data sources for model enhancement
Analyze counterparties and structured credit exposures in both facultative and treaty reinsurance deals
Deliver insights on country risk and political or economic shifts impacting exposures
Review mortgage credit risk transfer (CRT) transactions and monitor an active portfolio of CRT positions
