Fitch Group is hiring a Credit Analyst

As a Credit Analyst or Senior Analyst, you will evaluate the creditworthiness of non-bank financial institutions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Your work will center on interpreting financial data, assessing qualitative risks, and building analytical models to support accurate credit ratings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements and industry trends to determine credit risk for non-bank financial entities
  • Create and manage spreadsheets and analytical tools used in credit evaluation
  • Present findings to internal rating committees and contribute to final credit decisions
  • Engage directly with company executives through on-site and virtual meetings
  • Explain rating actions to investors, media, and analysts through reports, calls, and presentations
  • Support broader financial sector assessments and contribute to industry-wide research projects

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field is required. Candidates should have 1–5 years of experience in financial or credit analysis. Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential, along with strong organizational and critical thinking abilities. You must be able to manage shifting priorities and collaborate effectively within a team.

Fluency in German, Spanish, Italian, or French is an advantage. Familiarity with leasing, capital markets, or financial institutions adds value. An MBA or CFA, or progress toward these credentials, is also preferred.

Work Environment & Benefits

This role operates in a hybrid model, requiring three days per week in the office (London or New York), with flexibility to work remotely the other two days.

You’ll join a culture that values diverse perspectives, continuous development, and ethical rigor. Benefits include retirement planning support, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive health and wellness programs, and generous parental leave. The organization promotes inclusion through employee-led networks and ensures equal opportunity regardless of background. Paid volunteer time and donation matching encourage community engagement.
