Responsibilities
- Install, connect, and service controllers, sensors, actuators, and control panels for building management systems, ensuring documentation reflects current system configurations.
- Identify and correct faults in building automation, electrical power monitoring, and equipment control systems using diagnostic software and field instruments such as multimeters and loop calibrators.
- Access and modify building management platforms to map data points, set alarms, adjust control setpoints, and update interface visuals.
- Resolve issues in communication protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP, support tuning of control loops, analyze system trends, and help integrate monitoring and control platforms.
- Perform commissioning tasks such as verifying signal connections, calibrating control loops, and testing system functionality for new and upgraded installations.
- Follow electrical safety codes, site-specific lockout-tagout procedures, and change control protocols including method of procedures and CMMS recordkeeping.
