Design and implement advanced control systems for data centers and critical facilities, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and communications technologies. This role focuses on creating robust automation solutions using SCADA, BAS, PLC, and PMS platforms, with an emphasis on reliability, cybersecurity, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and ICT teams to define control sequences, network topologies, and instrumentation requirements.
- Develop detailed basis of design documentation for building automation, programmable logic controls, and power monitoring systems.
- Design resilient operational technology networks using Ethernet and serial protocols across fiber, copper, and wireless media.
- Specify and tailor technical requirements in Divisions 23, 25, and 26, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity standards and system interoperability.
- Apply knowledge of industrial protocols including Modbus, BACnet, and EtherNet/IP to define proper network architecture and device integration.
- Ensure designs comply with U.S. engineering standards, codes, and project-specific templates, tracking changes and justifying deviations.
- Participate in cross-discipline coordination to deliver fully integrated, cohesive system designs.
- Support client meetings and project milestones with flexibility in scheduling to align with global teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience designing control systems for mission-critical environments, particularly in data centers or industrial facilities.
- Strong technical background in OT networking, control protocols, and instrumentation systems.
- Ability to balance detailed design work with an understanding of overall project goals and constraints.
- Experience adapting standardized models to meet client-specific needs while maintaining performance and security.
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a team-oriented, client-facing environment.
