Responsibilities
- Implement data engineering standards in analytics code for transformation, testing, and documentation.
- Deliver well-structured and accessible datasets to end users.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide technical guidance to data engineers.
- Develop and sustain modular and reusable data models.
- Enhance SQL query efficiency for analytical models.
- Convert raw data into meaningful business insights by collaborating with stakeholders and crafting targeted analyses.
- Design data visualizations and assist users in navigating available visualization platforms.
- Develop new analytical solutions and maintain existing ones using SQL and Python.
- Integrate software engineering practices such as version control and CI/CD into analytics workflows.
- Extend the data warehouse by ingesting and preparing high-quality data for analysis.
- Employ advanced testing methods to validate data accuracy against defined business rules.
- Establish automated validation and testing protocols to ensure data integrity in ETL/ELT processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business requirements and data expectations.
- Promote data-driven decision-making by proactively sharing insights.
- Lead project scoping, problem definition, design, and planning efforts.
- Create automation tools to support data infrastructure operations.
- Oversee large-scale data transfers within relational databases.
