AECOM is hiring a Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Engage in all phases of project execution, from initial planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Oversee project scope, timeline, budget, risk, and change management with consistent transparency and structured discipline.
  • Coordinate regularly with key team members and stakeholders to reduce operational disruptions.
  • Lead planning for project phasing and site logistics in active environments, addressing swing space, noise and vibration limits, and accessible pedestrian pathways.
  • Supervise contractor activities, including submittals and RFIs, while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to regulatory codes and institutional standards.
  • Attend project coordination meetings, track progress, maintain action logs, monitor decisions, and manage a current risk register with mitigation strategies.
  • Lead negotiations and documentation for project change orders.
  • Monitor financial performance, including cost estimates, cash flow projections, contingency usage, and budget allowances.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility connections, planned outages, and safety protocols; manage system commissioning and functional testing.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and delivery of final documentation, including as-built drawings, operations manuals, and training, to support seamless occupancy.
  • Advance sustainability and resilience objectives such as LEED or WELL certification and carbon reduction targets throughout project delivery.
  • Maintain proactive communication with campus partners, track decisions and issues, and support ongoing user engagement.
