Responsibilities
- Oversee the AIFM’s valuation policies for illiquid assets (Venture Capital & Small Buyout).
- Implement and challenge IPEV guidelines in a way that is rigorous but realistic for pre-revenue startups—avoiding 'theoretical' compliance in favor of actual risk assessment.
- Monitor liquidity profiles across our platform, structuring risk parameters for bridge facilities and leverage within buyout compartments.
- Design stress-test scenarios that actually mean something for a Venture Capital portfolio, moving beyond standard banking models.
- Report directly to the Board as the hierarchically independent Risk function.
- Act as the 'No' vote when a deal structure puts the platform's license at risk—having the conviction to stop bad actors.
- Integrate risk monitoring into our proprietary tech stack to create real-time dashboards (killing the quarterly PDF report).
