This role is responsible for advancing community health by forming meaningful partnerships with nonprofits, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), faith-based organizations, and local stakeholders. The professional will work across several Florida counties, primarily in the Panhandle and Northwest regions, to strengthen the presence and impact of community health initiatives through advocacy, outreach, and data-informed strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to support health equity and outreach goals
- Represent the organization at events, meetings, and engagements to increase visibility and trust
- Use public health and membership data to guide outreach strategies and program development
- Collaborate with nonprofit leaders and community decision-makers to align services with local needs
- Design and support initiatives that expand community connections and improve health outcomes
- Exercise independent judgment in planning and executing outreach activities, seeking guidance when necessary
- Adhere to established protocols while adapting approaches to meet evolving community needs
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree is required, along with experience in community outreach, nonprofit work, or healthcare programs serving underserved or Medicaid populations. Familiarity with the cultural and geographic landscape of Northwest Florida is essential. Candidates must live within or near Leon County and have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of vehicle insurance meeting Florida’s minimum requirements.
Preferred candidates will have at least two years of experience in community-based organizations, healthcare, or public service programs. Strong knowledge of social determinants of health, community resource networks, and health equity principles is highly valued. Experience managing events, projects, or programs, along with proficiency in data systems and field-based marketing, is an asset.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position combining remote work with frequent field travel across designated counties. Work hours follow a standard weekday schedule but may include evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight trips. Travel to central offices for training or meetings may be required periodically.
Benefits and Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $58,700 to $70,400, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus. Employees working remotely in eligible states receive bi-weekly internet reimbursement. Work equipment, including a telephone, is provided to support job functions.
