About the Role
This role focuses on building trust and awareness within the San Diego community by leading outreach initiatives, supporting partnerships, and educating stakeholders about accessible mental health services for children and families.
Responsibilities
- Lead community outreach efforts to increase awareness of behavioral health services
- Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, and healthcare providers
- Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and informational sessions
- Serve as a local point of contact for community inquiries and engagement
- Translate outreach materials when necessary, leveraging Spanish language skills
- Identify community needs and collaborate on strategies to address service gaps
- Support referral pathways by connecting families to appropriate resources
- Represent the organization at public and private sector forums
- Track engagement metrics and report on outreach effectiveness
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure community feedback informs service delivery
- Promote culturally responsive practices in all community interactions
- Stay informed about local social, economic, and educational trends affecting families
- Assist in training community partners on early mental health intervention
- Maintain accurate records of community interactions and partnerships
- Advocate for child and family mental health at the community level
- Support marketing efforts with community-specific insights
- Respond to media or public inquiries related to community programs
- Coordinate with regional teams to align outreach strategies
- Foster inclusivity by engaging diverse cultural and linguistic groups
- Contribute to the development of multilingual outreach materials
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in public health, social work, or related discipline
- Prior experience in healthcare or mental health outreach
- Formal training in community health education
- Experience with data-driven outreach evaluation
- Background in nonprofit or advocacy organizations
