Color is seeking a Staff Software Engineer focused on DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). In this role, you will be responsible for the foundational infrastructure that powers Color’s healthcare platform, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and highly available.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure
- Lead initiatives to improve system observability, monitoring, and incident response
- Establish and advocate for SRE best practices, including automation, CI/CD, and capacity planning
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design systems for reliability and operational efficiency from the start
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure
- Deep expertise with modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Proven experience building and managing highly available, large-scale distributed systems
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers
Nice to Have
- Experience in the healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare data
- Background in application performance monitoring and observability tooling
