About the Role
The engineer will support cloud storage infrastructure, optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient and secure data storage services.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy cloud-based storage architectures
- Monitor storage system performance and availability
- Implement data protection and backup strategies
- Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents
- Collaborate with engineering teams on integration tasks
- Optimize storage utilization and cost efficiency
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing
- Maintain documentation for storage configurations
- Configure access controls and identity management
- Perform capacity planning and forecasting
- Upgrade and patch storage systems as needed
- Integrate storage solutions with cloud platforms
- Respond to alerts and system anomalies
- Participate in on-call support rotations
- Evaluate new storage technologies and tools
- Ensure data consistency across environments
- Support migration of on-premises data to cloud
- Work with automation and orchestration frameworks
- Contribute to incident post-mortem analyses
- Enforce encryption standards for data at rest
- Assist in audit and compliance reviews
- Improve monitoring and alerting systems
- Collaborate on performance tuning initiatives
- Maintain high availability and fault tolerance
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in a technical discipline
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Experience with large-scale data migrations
- Knowledge of data lifecycle management
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments
- Background in financial or regulated industries
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible
- Understanding of SaaS storage models
