Motorola Solutions is hiring a Cloud Operations Engineer II to help grow the infrastructure that seamlessly supports the business and its expanding customer base. You'll join a small team operating with full stack responsibilities and the support of a large organization.
What You'll Do
- Analyze, design, and implement a new AWS environment based on an existing infrastructure using CloudFormation or CDK.
- Maintain and optimize existing cloud environments for availability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with support, development, security, and compliance teams to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
- Implement monitoring and conduct regular audits for compliance and performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, monitoring, and scaling of cloud resources.
- Write and maintain scripts and applications in Python and Node.js to automate processes and enhance cloud operations.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in cloud operations, specifically with AWS.
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically AWS CloudFormation and/or CDK.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, security best practices, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in Python and Node.js for scripting and application development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of engineering or technical experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch and the ELK Stack.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and additional scripting languages.
