Responsibilities
- Evaluate evolving cloud platform requirements across the organization
- Detect and address critical risks and operational gaps
- Deploy and maintain applications in EKS and long-lived AWS environments
- Lead enhancements in core infrastructure domains
- Implement proactive capacity planning strategies
- Strengthen monitoring and alerting systems
- Optimize performance through tuning and resource cleanup
- Improve efficiency in workload distribution and scaling
- Manage data replication processes for analytics and reporting
- Develop and promote standardized best practices and system health frameworks
- Leverage industry-standard observability tools and AWS automation to enforce consistency across database fleets
- Establish a cross-functional expert council to drive adoption and mentorship
- Offer direct guidance to teams and COE leads on preparedness and risk mitigation
- Identify and coordinate relevant training programs in database technologies for engineering staff
- Deliver hands-on support during critical production incidents
Compensation
Starting base salary ranges from $107,000 to $157,300 for positions based in Canada-BC, with additional compensation including potential annual bonuses, commissions for eligible roles, stock grants, and a full benefits package.
