Prosum is hiring a Cloud Architect

Responsibilities

  • Improve the technical ecosystem and experience for both customers and employees.
  • Iterate quickly to drive technology that empowers the business across the company.
  • Understand benefits and challenges of cloud architectures.
  • Deploy innovative technologies across security, infrastructure, information, and application technology domains.
  • Oversee and facilitate infrastructure software evaluations and selections according to defined technical review processes.
  • Coordinate solution feasibility studies and/or pilots to facilitate evaluation as necessary.
  • Design architecture with clear dev-ops integration plans.
  • Establish, maintain and publish customer communications related to the cloud architecture.
  • Analyze new and changing SaaS and PaaS solutions, technology and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the enterprise.
  • Document cloud architecture design and analysis work, including project postmortem documentation and metric collection.
  • Adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and related guidance (such as data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact on enterprise information architecture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing and operation of distributed, fault-tolerant applications with particular attention to security, scalability, performance, availability and cost/revenue optimization.
  • Proven team leadership skills and able to demonstrate a well-organized approach to architecture and technical evaluations.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with all levels in the organization, and able to professionally represent the company with customers.
  • Demonstrated expertise with overseeing and facilitating infrastructure software evaluations and selections according to the defined technical review process.
  • Deep knowledge with Dev-ops integration systems such as Ansible and Puppet.
  • Architecture design must include clear dev-ops integration plans.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with large AWS deployments, including being able to scale and still being secure.
  • Demonstrated expertise with REST services and Microservices.
  • Working knowledge of Haddop, RedShift, Elasticsearch, Java as well as analytics tools like R, Kinesis or similar.
  • Expertise in broad and deep research, often going outside of their area of individual experience.
  • Able to synthesize conclusions from research, compare various solutions and plot complex technology roadmaps for different.
  • Experience with architecting high volume web systems or large transaction client-server systems.
  • Experience with mobile and other emerging technology trends.
  • Ability to contribute to, and balance delivery against, multiple projects/demands simultaneously.
  • Broad experience across business, application, information, infrastructure and security architecture domains.
  • Broad experience across business analysis, product design, engineering, QA, operations and sustainment in a large corporation / enterprise environment.
  • Deep technical experience in consumer and employee facing enterprise systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Data lakes and Data governance is a big plus.
  • Ability to create detailed short and long term roadmaps (1-5 years).
