Responsibilities
- Install and configure new remote dispensing machines at long-term care sites, including conducting initial testing to verify proper operation before go-live
- Diagnose and resolve technical malfunctions in dispensing systems, computers, printers, and connected devices
- Execute first-line troubleshooting procedures for automated dispensing equipment
- Escalate unresolved technical issues to Tier II support following defined service recovery protocols
- Record all service interventions and system events with accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with external technical specialists as needed to resolve complex equipment problems
- Evaluate and address daily operational concerns related to automatic dispensing units in collaboration with nursing teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pharmacy-related inquiries from assigned facilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on dispensing machines and peripherals according to scheduled intervals
- Ensure all environmental requirements for remote dispensing units are consistently met
- Load and manage medication inventory within automatic dispensing machines as needed
- Monitor stock levels in E-Kits and E-Cabinets, initiating reorders when supplies run low
- Conduct regular audits of medical carts, removing expired medications and updating reorder timelines
- Implement disaster recovery procedures for dispensing machines that are offline or non-functional
- Educate facility staff on correct operation and care of dispensing equipment and accessories
- Deliver responsive and professional customer service to all facility personnel and central pharmacy teams
- Replace consumable supplies such as toner, paper, and thermal printer rolls for equipment and computers
- Submit daily reports summarizing completed tasks and outstanding issues
- Fulfill on-call duties as scheduled to support after-hours needs
