Tetra Tech is hiring a Clinical Nurse Consultant

Responsibilities

  • Senior nursing leader accountable for advancing safe, evidence-based Patient Blood Management (PBM) across St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney.
  • Provide expert clinical consultancy to promote PBM best practice, ensure compliance with NSQHS Standard 7, and lead quality improvement, policy development, and hospital-wide education initiatives.
  • Drive the ongoing advancement of clinical practice through leadership, research translation, and implementation of evidence-informed care.
  • Lead the development and delivery of specialty education programs and contribute to strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders—including Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Educators, Clinical Consultants, Nursing Education, the Transfusion Laboratory, and Haematologists—to support integrated, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
  • Minimum 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in haematology, transfusion practice, perioperative care or critical care.
  • Approved postgraduate nursing qualification relevant to the field in which you are appointed or such other qualification or experience deemed appropriate by St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney.
  • Demonstrated expert clinical knowledge of Patient Blood Management (PBM) principles and transfusion practice, aligned with national PBM guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in research, audit, or quality‑improvement in transfusion or Patient Blood Management.
