About the Role

The role involves assessing patient fitness levels, creating individualized exercise plans, and monitoring progress in a clinical setting focused on cardiac and chronic disease management.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' physical capabilities through standardized fitness testing
  • Develop personalized exercise regimens for individuals with heart conditions
  • Monitor vital signs during exercise sessions to ensure safety
  • Educate patients on the benefits of physical activity for disease management
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to align care plans
  • Track patient progress and adjust programs as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of patient assessments and outcomes
  • Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications including physical activity and nutrition
  • Lead supervised exercise sessions in clinical environments
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during all physical activities
  • Interpret medical histories and diagnostic information to inform exercise prescriptions
  • Support patients in achieving functional improvement goals
  • Respond to physiological changes during exercise with appropriate interventions
  • Promote long-term adherence to exercise through motivational strategies
  • Participate in ongoing training to maintain clinical competencies
