Sedgwick was looking for a Claims Adjuster Liability (REMOTE- Bodily Injury Exp Needed)

Sedgwick is looking for a remote Claims Adjuster specializing in Liability to join our team. In this role, you will analyze mid- and higher-level general liability claims to determine benefits due and ensure adjudication follows company standards and industry best practices. You will be a key player in identifying subrogation opportunities and negotiating settlements.

What You'll Do

  • Manage mid-level general liability claims by gathering information to determine liability exposure.
  • Assign reserve values to claims, make claims payments as necessary, and settle claims up to designated authority level.
  • Assess liability and resolve claims within evaluation.
  • Approve and process assigned claims, determine benefits due, and manage the action plan.
  • Manage subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
  • Communicate claim action with claimants and clients.
  • Support the organization's quality programs.
  • Travel as required for the role.

What We're Looking For

  • Four (4) years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated Bodily Injury experience.
  • A background in General Liability or Auto claims.
  • Must be licensed; licensure in New York and/or Hawaii is a plus but not required (will be required to obtain if not already held).

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to telecommute from the Central or Eastern Time Zones.
