About the Role

This role involves planning, designing, and overseeing construction of water and wastewater systems to meet public health and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design water distribution and wastewater collection systems
  • Prepare engineering plans and technical specifications
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and system analysis
  • Review construction documents for compliance
  • Support permitting and regulatory submittals
  • Coordinate with public agencies and stakeholders
  • Perform field inspections during construction
  • Manage project schedules and deliverables
  • Assist in developing sustainable infrastructure solutions
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend upgrades
  • Prepare cost estimates for proposed improvements
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards
  • Collaborate with environmental and structural engineers
  • Support emergency response planning for utilities

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in engineering or related discipline
  • PE license in multiple states
  • Experience with large-scale water treatment projects
  • Project management professional (PMP) certification
  • Leadership experience in engineering teams
  • Experience in client-facing roles
  • Knowledge of green infrastructure practices
  • Proficiency with GIS applications
  • Experience managing design consultants
