About the Role
This role involves planning, designing, and overseeing construction of water and wastewater systems to meet public health and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Design water distribution and wastewater collection systems
- Prepare engineering plans and technical specifications
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and system analysis
- Review construction documents for compliance
- Support permitting and regulatory submittals
- Coordinate with public agencies and stakeholders
- Perform field inspections during construction
- Manage project schedules and deliverables
- Assist in developing sustainable infrastructure solutions
- Evaluate system performance and recommend upgrades
- Prepare cost estimates for proposed improvements
- Participate in client meetings and presentations
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards
- Collaborate with environmental and structural engineers
- Support emergency response planning for utilities
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in engineering or related discipline
- PE license in multiple states
- Experience with large-scale water treatment projects
- Project management professional (PMP) certification
- Leadership experience in engineering teams
- Experience in client-facing roles
- Knowledge of green infrastructure practices

- Experience managing design consultants
