Responsibilities

  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of a professional engineer for remediation and civil design projects managed by a Sr. Engineer.
  • Contributes to the production of design drawings and technical specifications.
  • Completes design tasks using AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Evaluates raw survey data.
  • Assist project manager/project engineer in preparation of planning documents, permitting documents, report writing, and development of cost estimates.
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations.
  • Proposes approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Evaluates and identifies discrepancies in environmental data results.
  • Assists in technical quality reviews.
  • Contributes to projects across various stages—from concept design to construction and operation.
  • Supports design, project management, stakeholder engagement, and technical/site safety activities.
  • Assists in developing innovative, sustainable solutions to meet diverse project challenges.
  • Collaborates within multidisciplinary teams to deliver and maintain infrastructure and site development projects.
  • Designs civil engineering infrastructure including haul roads, landfills, stormwater, utility disposition, earthwork, etc.
  • Evaluate or review of regulatory compliance requirements across federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
