About the Role
The selected candidate will take part in geotechnical and civil infrastructure projects, from preliminary studies to construction, with responsibilities spanning technical review, field work, client coordination, and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical site investigations and subsurface data analysis
- Perform slope stability and earth retention system evaluations
- Design shallow and deep foundations based on project requirements
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Support construction activities through field observation and problem resolution
- Collaborate with civil and structural engineering teams on integrated designs
- Assess risks related to soil-structure interaction and ground conditions
- Lead geotechnical aspects of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects
- Review drilling logs and laboratory test results for accuracy and consistency
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and industry standards
- Supervise field testing and in-situ soil property assessments
- Participate in project planning and scheduling with project managers
- Provide input on earthworks and excavation support systems
- Evaluate liquefaction potential and seismic site response
- Contribute to environmental and remediation projects involving soil behavior
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
- Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies on technical deliverables
- Support proposal development and project scoping
- Maintain quality control on technical documentation
- Use analytical software for modeling and simulation tasks
- Promote health and safety practices during field operations
- Stay current with advancements in geotechnical methods and materials
- Assist in the development of internal technical guidelines
- Work across multiple project types including bridges, roads, and utilities
- Manage project budgets and timelines for assigned tasks
