About the Role
The individual will lead initiatives to grow developer engagement across China by building strong relationships with engineers, startups, and technical teams in key innovation hubs. This includes organizing events, supporting developer tools adoption, and amplifying community feedback into product development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers and technical teams across China
- Design and execute programs that encourage ecosystem participation and tool adoption
- Organize and lead technical meetups, hackathons, and developer conferences
- Collaborate with engineering teams to relay community feedback and feature requests
- Support open-source projects relevant to the platform’s technology stack
- Create technical content including tutorials, documentation, and sample code
- Identify and engage key influencers in the Chinese developer landscape
- Track engagement metrics and report on community growth and program effectiveness
- Work with marketing to align messaging with local developer culture
- Advocate for developer needs in product roadmap discussions
- Build partnerships with universities, incubators, and tech communities
- Stay current with regional technology trends and competitive developments
- Facilitate onboarding for new developers joining the platform
- Troubleshoot technical issues raised by the developer community
- Promote best practices in software development and API integration
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on open-source licensing matters
- Represent the platform at industry events and technical forums
- Translate global initiatives into locally relevant programs
- Mentor emerging developer advocates within the region
- Support crisis communication related to developer-facing tools
- Gather insights to inform localization of developer resources
- Drive adoption of SDKs and developer tools among Chinese startups
- Foster inclusive community standards and moderation practices
- Evaluate third-party developer tools for integration potential
- Maintain a pulse on regulatory changes affecting software development in China
