Hyatt Regency Lake Washington was looking for a Chief Engineer

At Hyatt Regency Lake Washington, the Chief Engineer is the guardian of the property, responsible for the overall physical plant, maintenance planning, and budget management. You will protect the asset for stakeholders while ensuring optimal operations for guest comfort and associate safety.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of facilities management to ensure safety, security, and optimal guest experience.
  • Lead a skilled team of engineers by modeling the way, empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage the division’s budget and capital expenditure plan.
  • Manage the renovation bidding process and contractor oversight.
  • Develop and direct emergency programs, ensure equipment maintenance, and conduct inspections and drills.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive hotel or building management experience.
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.
  • Ability to multi-task large and small projects.
  • Ability to plan and forecast needs of the day as well as long term.
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in HVAC, Refrigeration, and Electrical Engineering.
  • Highly organized, comfortable with HotSOS or similar systems.
  • Possess strong, empathetic leadership skills.
  • Experienced in hotel/resort preventative maintenance and/or repairs.
  • Able to walk long distance, stand constantly, work both indoors and outdoors year-round, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to Have

  • Engineering/Facility Management degree or related degree.

Technical Stack

  • HotSOS or similar systems.
