Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen operations ensuring efficiency and compliance with health standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain performance and morale.
  • Develop and standardize menus in alignment with nutritional and operational guidelines.
  • Monitor food quality and consistency across service periods.
  • Manage inventory and control food costs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Coordinate with management on service improvements and logistics.
  • Respond to client or customer feedback to enhance dining experience.
  • Implement sustainable practices in food sourcing and waste reduction.
  • Maintain equipment and oversee kitchen maintenance needs.

Qualifications

  • Formal culinary training or equivalent experience in professional kitchens.
  • Proven leadership experience in food service operations.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and handling protocols.
  • Experience managing budgets or controlling food costs.
  • Ability to train and mentor kitchen team members.
  • Familiarity with large-scale meal production environments.
  • Valid food handler certification required.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • Problem-solving skills for operational challenges.
  • Adaptability to shifting schedules and service demands.

  • Experience in remote or field-based operations.
  • Background in contract food services or institutional catering.
