About the Role
The technician will conduct routine and emergency work on telecommunication towers, including structural inspections, equipment installations, and repairs, while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Ascend and descend communication towers safely using proper climbing techniques
- Inspect tower structures for signs of wear, damage, or corrosion
- Install and secure antennas, transmission lines, and related hardware
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on tower components
- Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment
- Conduct pre-climb equipment checks
- Assist in rigging and hoisting tools and materials
- Document inspection findings and service reports
- Troubleshoot technical issues with mounted equipment
- Work in various weather conditions and remote locations
- Comply with OSHA and FCC regulations
- Support team members during complex climbs
- Maintain accurate service logs
- Respond to emergency repair requests
- Handle tools and equipment with precision
- Coordinate with ground crews during operations
- Verify structural integrity before and after work
- Use hand and power tools specific to tower work
- Assist in load calculations for new installations
- Follow site-specific safety plans
- Participate in safety training and drills
- Report hazards or equipment failures immediately
- Work at heights exceeding 200 feet
- Adhere to company quality standards
- Support project timelines and client schedules

Physical Requirements
