MOO is hiring a Category Management & Pricing Analyst

About the Role

This position is responsible for analyzing product categories and pricing structures to enhance profitability and support strategic decision-making. The analyst will work closely with commercial, marketing, and supply chain teams to identify opportunities, monitor performance, and implement pricing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales and pricing data across product categories to identify trends and performance gaps
  • Develop pricing recommendations based on market conditions, cost structures, and competitive benchmarks
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives
  • Monitor category performance using KPIs and generate regular reporting
  • Support the development of pricing models and tools for ongoing optimization
  • Evaluate the financial impact of pricing changes and promotional activity
  • Work with supply chain to understand cost drivers and margin implications
  • Identify opportunities for product portfolio rationalization or expansion
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market dynamics and competitor pricing
  • Ensure pricing compliance and consistency across sales channels
  • Partner with marketing on promotional planning and pricing communication
  • Use data visualization tools to present insights to stakeholders
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Assist in the implementation of pricing changes in enterprise systems
  • Track and report on pricing accuracy and execution
  • Support category review meetings with performance summaries and action plans
  • Develop and maintain pricing guidelines and documentation
  • Leverage customer segmentation to inform pricing strategies
  • Contribute to long-term pricing strategy development
  • Ensure data integrity in pricing and category management systems
  • Coordinate with finance on forecasting and budgeting inputs
  • Stay current with analytics tools and methodologies
  • Identify automation opportunities in pricing workflows
  • Maintain confidentiality of pricing and commercial data
  • Drive continuous improvement in category and pricing processes
