Join 1016 Meijer Great Lakes LP as a Cashier - Systems, where you'll be the welcoming presence at checkout and the key problem solver for technical issues. This role combines customer interaction with hands-on technology support to keep our front-end operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Utilize technology to complete activities and tasks efficiently.
- Create positive and lasting customer experiences through service.
- Complete transactions, handle money responsibly, and maintain accuracy for point of sale purchases.
- Use good eye contact and body language, displaying a friendly and outgoing attitude.
- Handle customer questions adequately and appropriately.
- Build trustful relationships with customers to encourage return visits.
- Troubleshoot POS/register issues including scanners, printers, and pin pads.
- Collaborate with Service Coordinators and Leaders.
- Escalate technical issues when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually.
- Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
- Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary.
- Desire to work with customers.
