About the Role

The Calibration Technician II performs routine and complex calibration of equipment, troubleshoots instrumentation issues, and ensures adherence to documentation and regulatory requirements in a controlled manufacturing or laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled calibration of mechanical, electrical, and electronic test and measurement devices
  • Follow documented procedures and standards to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain detailed calibration records and documentation
  • Use precision tools and standards to verify instrument performance
  • Support audits by providing calibration data and records
  • Troubleshoot malfunctioning instruments and coordinate repairs
  • Work within controlled environments following safety and quality protocols
  • Assist in validating calibration processes and equipment
  • Communicate with engineering and operations teams regarding equipment status
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
  • Handle calibration labels and update tracking systems
  • Perform field and bench-level calibrations as required
  • Support equipment installation and commissioning activities
  • Maintain calibration equipment and storage areas
  • Escalate technical issues to higher-level personnel when necessary
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for calibration workflows
  • Assist in training junior technicians on standard practices
  • Monitor calibration intervals and schedule upcoming tasks
  • Verify accuracy of calibration software and databases
  • Respond to urgent calibration needs during production operations
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of reference standards
  • Follow change control procedures when updating calibration methods
  • Support laboratory and manufacturing operations with reliable instrumentation
  • Maintain awareness of updated calibration standards and techniques
