Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project execution using tools such as Power BI, SSDT, SSRS, SSAS, MSSQL, Visual Studio, and Jira.
- Design and build interactive dashboards and analytical reports in Microsoft Power BI to enable data-informed business decisions.
- Collaborate with data modeling teams to develop and refine SSAS Tabular models for efficient reporting and analytics.
- Work with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, to extract, transform, and load data, and create advanced calculations using DAX for Power BI and SSAS.
- Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, including views, stored procedures, CTEs, and functions, and produce precise, parameterized reports in SSRS with strong visual elements.
- Maintain and monitor SQL Server Agent jobs, resolve ETL failures, and ensure reliable, timely data pipeline operations through root cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Use Jira to collect business requirements, manage tasks, and track progress during reporting and development cycles, while engaging stakeholders to understand workflows and define reporting solutions.
- Evaluate and improve existing reports by identifying performance optimizations and enhanced visualization approaches.
- Deliver reports in various formats such as PDF, Excel, and Power BI Service to support different business needs and accessibility standards.
- Manage the full report lifecycle from gathering requirements to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure data integrity by validating sources and applying data quality checks across all reports and dashboards.
