About the Role
The ideal candidate will lead business development efforts targeting the U.S. Special Operations Command, identifying new clients, nurturing partnerships, and positioning technical capabilities to meet mission-critical needs.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within SOCOM and related defense sectors
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Lead proposal development and coordinate with technical teams to align solutions with client requirements
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
- Track and report on sales pipelines, forecasts, and engagement metrics
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to refine offerings based on market feedback
- Translate technical capabilities into compelling value propositions for defense clients
- Monitor competitive landscape and adapt strategies accordingly
- Ensure compliance with federal contracting and security protocols
- Support contract negotiations and pricing discussions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SOCOM mission priorities and funding trends
- Drive win strategies for high-value opportunities
- Coordinate with partners and integrators to expand market reach
- Prepare executive briefings and capability presentations
- Manage multiple concurrent pursuits with attention to detail and deadlines
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in business, national security, or engineering
- Prior military or government service, especially within special operations
- Existing relationships within SOCOM acquisition or program management offices
- Experience with AI-driven decision support systems or autonomous platforms
- History of leading multi-million-dollar contract wins
- Knowledge of current SOF technology modernization priorities
- Experience working with small to mid-sized technology firms in the defense space

Security Requirements
Applicant must hold an active Top Secret security clearance. Eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access is required. Candidates without current clearance will not be considered.
Travel Expectations
Frequent travel is expected, including visits to military installations, partner offices, and industry conferences. Travel may account for up to 40% of time.
