Role SummaryWe are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead partnership acquisition and client expansion efforts in the financial services space. You will play a central role in identifying new opportunities, converting prospects into long-term Referring Partners, and supporting the ongoing growth of client portfolios through tailored FX risk mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and qualify new business opportunities through outreach, networking, trade events, and industry engagement
- Establish and formalize relationships by securing Referring Partner agreements and delivering onboarding materials
- Maintain regular contact with partners through site visits, follow-ups, and scheduled communications
- Collaborate with internal teams to support account management and ensure seamless client experiences
- Deliver sales presentations and promote value-added services to prospective and existing partners
- Develop and review account growth plans in alignment with strategic objectives
- Share market intelligence by monitoring industry trends and distributing insights to internal stakeholders
- Stay current with regulatory standards, company policies, and compliance protocols including KYC and CRM accuracy
- Keep detailed records of all interactions, correspondence, and follow-up activities
- Support training initiatives and coordinate internal resources to meet partner needs
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–4 years of proven experience in business development or sales within financial services or a client-facing, fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of financial markets, products, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities with the capacity to influence and negotiate effectively
- Confidence in public speaking and delivering presentations to diverse audiences
- Ability to analyze situations, make decisions, and solve problems independently
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in Stamford, Connecticut. You will be expected to work from the office at least one day per week, with the flexibility to work remotely and travel to client or partner locations as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $75,000–$85,000
