Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and system inspections; respond to service requests such as temperature complaints, plumbing problems, and lighting fixes.
- Diagnose minor equipment issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
- Swap out light fixtures, air filters, and similar components as needed.
- Keep detailed logs of inspections and equipment performance metrics.
- Engage with tenants, contractors, and property managers, and collaborate with senior engineering staff to support day-to-day operations and resolve tenant concerns.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and supervise contractor work.
- Conduct on-site property assessments to detect deficiencies.
- Monitor and document equipment readings to ensure systems function within required standards.
- Adhere to safety procedures, wear proper personal protective equipment, comply with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA standards, report hazards, and take part in safety audits.
- Offer direction and support to less experienced technicians when required.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with team members, management, vendors, tenants, and client personnel, ensuring stakeholders are kept informed.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to build technical expertise and engage in training programs to advance within the organization.
- Complete additional assigned tasks as needed.
