About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bridge Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a focus on bridge design and analysis. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality bridge projects that meet safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze bridge structures using advanced software tools.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and field investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients.
  • Perform structural analysis and calculations.
  • Develop construction plans and cost estimates.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.
  • Provide technical support during construction.
  • Prepare and present reports to stakeholders.
  • Implement quality control measures.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new bridge projects.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with bridge projects.
  • Collaborate with environmental and geotechnical engineers.
  • Evaluate existing bridge structures for rehabilitation or replacement.
  • Participate in project meetings and presentations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Conduct load rating analyses.
  • Develop and review construction schedules.
  • Perform site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality.
  • Prepare and review contract documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and bids.

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling).

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge engineering.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO and other relevant standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with bridge inspection and rating.
  • Familiarity with construction management principles.
