KPFF is hiring a Bridge Designer 4-6 Years - Structural

About the Role

The position involves contributing to the design and analysis of bridges and transportation structures, working within a collaborative team to deliver safe, efficient, and constructible solutions for public and private clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop structural designs for bridges and related infrastructure
  • Perform engineering calculations and load analysis
  • Collaborate with civil and transportation engineers on integrated projects
  • Produce construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Review design compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Support field investigations and site assessments
  • Assist in the preparation of project deliverables
  • Coordinate with project managers and external consultants
  • Utilize structural modeling software for design validation
  • Participate in design reviews and peer checks
  • Contribute to project planning and scheduling
  • Address construction-phase engineering questions
  • Prepare design revisions based on feedback
  • Ensure designs meet safety and durability requirements
  • Work on projects ranging from small repairs to large bridge replacements
