Patch is hiring a Blockchain Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

As a Blockchain Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the resilience and efficiency of blockchain node infrastructure. Your work will focus on ensuring high uptime, rapid incident resolution, and continuous improvement of operational systems across diverse blockchain networks.

What You'll Do

  • Deploy, monitor, and manage blockchain nodes across various protocols, ensuring consistent performance and availability.
  • Respond to and resolve production incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Design and develop automation tools in Golang, Python, or Shell to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to enhance system reliability and prevent recurring issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support timely incident response and resolution.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong command of Linux system administration, including networking, debugging, security, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Python, JavaScript, or Rust, with solid coding practices.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and composure during high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience running, upgrading, or maintaining blockchain nodes.
  • Familiarity with protocols such as Ethereum, Cosmos, Polkadot, or Solana.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Exposure to Web3 RPC, smart contracts, or Solidity development.
