  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define platform capabilities, roadmaps, and feature development
  • Elicit and document user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for bioinformatics tools and data platforms
  • Lead cross-functional coordination between data science, engineering, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless delivery

Familiarity with both front-end and back-end development technologies—such as SQL, NoSQL databases, and interactive web interfaces—is essential. Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe environments is required, along with the ability to lead stakeholder discussions and translate technical needs into implementation steps.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in public health, life sciences, or research-focused settings
  • Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle and modern data platform architectures
  • Proficiency in modeling business processes using structured techniques such as use-case scenarios
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and big data analytics in bioinformatics contexts
  • A Doctorate in a relevant field or certification in Agile/SAFe methodologies

Work Environment

This role is based in Atlanta, GA, with an onsite work model that supports in-person collaboration when needed. The organization values flexibility and teamwork, enabling effective engagement across technical and scientific stakeholders. Full-time and part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health, financial, retirement, paid leave, and professional development programs such as tuition assistance.
