Responsibilities
- Configure, calibrate, and run multiple auxiliary binding machines equipped with various cutting heads, control panels, and attachments such as inkjet printers, mailing systems, case makers, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding units
- Operate and fine-tune automated bindery systems with multi-station capabilities including power-driven cutters, collators, gatherers, folders, and speed binders, often integrated with other machinery to form a complete finishing line
- Produce finished books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, and similar products from printed sheets using complex electromechanical setups
- Conduct safety inspections on equipment before and during operation to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Operate adhesive binding systems (perfect binders) that process collated sheets or signatures through multiple stages including vibration, milling, roughening, gluing, covering, and stacking
- Adjust and synchronize multiple workstations within a single machine to maintain consistent output and quality
- Lead and supervise production crew across all phases of bindery operations
- Oversee product quality, production volume, and operational efficiency throughout the workflow
