Responsibilities
- Configure, calibrate, and operate various auxiliary binding machines equipped with multiple cutting units, control panels, or add-ons such as inkjet printers, mailing systems, case makers, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and binding or gluing equipment
- Prepare automated bindery systems with multi-function and multi-station capabilities—including power cutters, collators, gatherers, folders, and speed binders—often integrated electromechanically into a full finishing line for producing bound materials
- Conduct safety inspections on machinery before and during operation
- Operate automatic adhesive binding systems (perfect binders) that process collated sheets or signatures through stages including vibrating, milling, surface roughening, glue application, covering, and stacking finished products
- Adjust and synchronize multiple workstations within a single machine to ensure seamless operation
- Lead and guide production staff through all phases of manufacturing
- Track output volume, quality standards, and overall productivity
