Responsibilities
- Configure, calibrate, and run various auxiliary binding machines equipped with multiple cutting heads, control panels, or attachments such as inkjet systems, mailing components, case builders, folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, and adhesive binders
- Potentially set up multi-functional automated bindery systems like powered cutters, collators, gatherers, folders, and high-speed binders, which may be integrated with other machinery to form a complete finishing line
- Conduct safety inspections on equipment before and during operation
- Operate automatic adhesive binding systems (perfect binders) that process collated sheets or signatures through multiple stages including vibration, milling, surface roughening, glue application, covering, and stacking finished products
- Adjust and synchronize multiple workstations within a single machine to ensure seamless operation
- Lead and supervise team members across all production phases
- Track and maintain standards for quality, output volume, and operational efficiency
