About the Role
The role involves developing and maintaining BIM models, ensuring compliance with project standards, coordinating across disciplines, and supporting project teams with technical expertise throughout the design and construction phases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage 3D BIM models for building projects
- Ensure model accuracy and alignment with design intent
- Collaborate with architects and engineers on model integration
- Support coordination between structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
- Maintain consistent modeling standards across project teams
- Identify and resolve design conflicts using model reviews
- Generate drawings and documentation from the BIM model
- Assist in the validation of model data for construction use
- Participate in design meetings and project reviews
- Troubleshoot modeling software issues as needed
- Train team members on BIM tools and workflows
- Update models based on design changes and feedback
- Manage model versions and file organization
- Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM execution plans
- Support quality assurance checks on model deliverables
- Coordinate with external consultants on model integration
- Prepare models for facility management handover
- Optimize modeling processes for efficiency
- Maintain naming conventions and layer standards
- Assist in developing BIM implementation strategies
- Work with project managers to meet milestone deadlines
- Document modeling decisions and project changes
- Integrate survey data into building models
- Support clash detection and resolution workflows
- Produce visualizations and renderings from models
Nice to Have
- Experience with Revit MEP and Structure modules
- Knowledge of Dynamo or visual programming tools
- Familiarity with point cloud integration
- Experience in large-scale commercial projects
- Background in design technology implementation
- Certification in Autodesk software
- Experience with model-based cost estimation
- Knowledge of lean construction principles
- Experience with mobile field collaboration tools
- Understanding of asset data handover requirements
