Responsibilities

• Evaluate bicycles to identify necessary repairs
• Fix or substitute damaged or worn components using hand tools, power tools, or specialized equipment
• Test and fine-tune repaired bicycles to ensure correct operation
• Carry out regular maintenance tasks on bicycles
• May adjust and calibrate bicycles using manual tools

Requirements

• Completion of secondary education is required
• Typically requires completion of relevant college or technical courses in equipment repair, or several months of on-the-job training
• Prior experience in bicycle repair, typically over multiple years
