Oversee the deployment and ongoing support of backup solutions across diverse computing environments, including cloud, virtual, and on-premises systems. Ensure reliable data protection and rapid recovery capabilities to meet business continuity goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain backup software and hardware components
- Optimize backup policies to align with performance, retention, and compliance requirements
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and resolve job failures promptly
- Execute data restoration processes with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure backup infrastructure complies with organizational security policies
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support seamless integration
- Maintain high availability and reliability of backup services
- Support 24x7 operations with scheduled on-call duties and occasional travel to data centers
- Perform system tuning, updates, and capacity forecasting
- Respond to incidents and service requests using internal ticketing systems
Required Skills
- Experience administering Commvault, Veeam, and Storage Protect environments
- Proficiency in managing automated tape libraries (ATLs) and virtual tape libraries (VTLs)
- Scripting and automation capabilities to enhance operational efficiency
- Strong understanding of backup infrastructure configuration and monitoring
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Portuguese
Work Environment
This position operates in a hybrid model, combining remote work with periodic on-site presence as needed. The role may require travel to data centers to support continuous service availability.
