Responsibilities
- Develop and refine FastAPI-based services to support dubbing and live translation workflows, managing multi-step task coordination, rate-limited execution, and backpressure handling under heavy load
- Construct and sustain distributed worker systems that scale independently per processing stage and automatically resume failed or stalled tasks
- Take full ownership of the database layer, including asynchronous ORM design, schema evolution, and performance tuning for PostgreSQL
- Deliver real-time capabilities using WebSockets for job monitoring and streaming audio pipelines during live translation
- Oversee Kubernetes deployments using Helm, manage secrets, configure ingress, and maintain multi-role container images
- Enhance and support the core library for dubbing across all stages: extracting audio, voice activity detection, speech-to-text, translation, quality checks, text-to-speech, and video assembly
- Integrate and optimize machine learning model serving via remote inference APIs and local execution for audio analysis and vocal separation
- Develop and refine quality control workflows including automated scoring, tempo evaluation, normalization guidance, and pronunciation validation
- Architect asynchronous-first processing pipelines with efficient concurrency models tailored for CPU-intensive audio workloads
- Advance LLM integration layers used in translation, quality assurance, and preprocessing across various backend providers
- Create and maintain a shared SDK for Studio services, including reusable FastAPI components for auth, billing, workspace segregation, and input validation
- Design abstractions for media storage covering uploads, secure URL generation, retention rules, and cloud blob storage connectivity
- Implement system-wide features such as rate limiting, usage metering, audit logging, and request history tracking across services
- Establish observability foundations using OpenTelemetry, structured logs, and shared metrics collection across microservices
- Ensure high test coverage with rigorous CI pipelines, parallel test runs, and comprehensive mocking of third-party dependencies
- Instrument services with custom metrics and structured error reporting to enable effective production monitoring
- Manage CI/CD workflows including automated testing, code linting, containerization, artifact publishing, and version control
