Outlive is hiring a Backend Engineer (Node.js / NestJS)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop backend systems using NestJS version 11 and TypeScript
  • Create robust RESTful APIs with strong validation through zod, class-validator, and OpenAPI specifications
  • Enforce role-based permissions and authenticate tokens via Google Identity
  • Design and manage relational database schemas using Prisma with PostgreSQL
  • Handle asynchronous operations and background processing with Cloud Tasks
  • Connect and interact with third-party services including OCR tools, scheduling platforms, and external data providers
  • Maintain system visibility through structured logs, performance metrics, and error tracking with Sentry
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using Jest framework
  • Work collaboratively with frontend and infrastructure teams during design and deployment phases
