Responsibilities
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
- Develop and implement software features in our Golang services (data aggregators, APIs, Blockchain Transaction crafting, ...).
- Take part in automation, testing, and CI/CD processes.
- Participate in code review, bug fixing, code maintenance.
- Ensure that our services communicate with each other seamlessly, have minimal downtime, and recover quickly.
- Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company).
- Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices.
- Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges.
Requirements
- +3 years of experience as Software Engineer (Backend), designing, building, and deploying user-facing, infrastructure-related, and/or API-based products.
- +1 year of Golang programming — professional experience in a production environment.
- Familiar with container/orchestrator technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), and Continuous Integration.
- Curiosity and the ability to dig into a topic and follow through.
- Be pragmatic to not over-engineer unnecessarily.
- Own what is coded and shipped to production.
- Proven interest in Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrency - check our Tech Blog [https://www.kiln.fi/blog] and Open-Source Contribution [https://www.kiln.fi/open-source]
- Fluent in both French and English.
Nice to Have
- Solid understanding of protocols, staking, and DeFi.
- Previous experience working within a certified environment (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA...)
- Living close to Paris or London
