Join a mission-driven team building a next-generation consumer privacy product used by more than 100 million users worldwide. As a Backend Engineer, you'll play a central role in shaping the architecture and infrastructure that power secure, seamless mobile experiences.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain critical components of the backend system, taking full ownership of key parts of the codebase
- Scale infrastructure to support global user demand, ensuring reliability and performance
- Solve complex challenges in encryption, key management, secure cloud synchronization, and data processing
- Collaborate closely with product and design teams to shape new features and technical direction
- Make impactful decisions alongside engineering peers on system design and implementation strategies
What We're Looking For
- Proven ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives from concept to production
- Strong engineering fundamentals with experience building and maintaining large-scale backend systems
- Skill in identifying and resolving difficult problems in security, data integrity, and system performance
- Familiarity with technologies such as Python, Kotlin, Swift, AWS, DynamoDB, Postgres, or Couchbase is a plus
