Role Overview
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to play a central role in developing the infrastructure behind a stablecoin ecosystem. You will be responsible for building robust backend services and secure, efficient smart contracts that power core financial operations including issuance, settlement, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices in Golang to support critical financial workflows.
- Write, test, and maintain Solidity smart contracts with a focus on security, gas efficiency, and long-term reliability.
- Build and document public APIs that bridge traditional banking systems, payment networks, and blockchain protocols.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams tackling complex distributed system challenges.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, particularly those involving blockchain confirmations and node synchronization.
- Champion code quality and comprehensive testing to support rapid, safe deployments.
- Lead efforts to secure on-chain assets by identifying vulnerabilities and working with auditors.
- Take on strategic initiatives as the platform evolves and scales.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development, with strong command of Golang and object-oriented design.
- Deep experience in at least one of: blockchain (EVM/Solidity), payments, or API architecture.
- Proven ability to lead the design and deployment of scalable, production-grade distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Ethereum development tools such as Hardhat or Foundry, and solid understanding of Web3 concepts.
- Strong database design skills using SQL, along with experience in high-volume messaging (Kafka) and caching (Redis).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and container orchestration via Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
- Excellent communication skills, a self-driven mindset, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cross-chain messaging protocols such as CCTP, LayerZero, or Wormhole.
- Background in regulated fintech environments, crypto exchanges, or stablecoin operations.
Technical Environment
Our stack includes Golang, Solidity, EVM, Hardhat, Foundry, Web3, SQL, Kafka, Redis, AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
Work Model
This role is currently remote with a future shift to a hybrid model based in Miami, Florida. Occasional in-person collaboration will be expected as the team grows.
