Responsibilities
- Own the backend of the user-facing application
- Deliver clear and intuitive RESTful APIs
- Ensure uptime and scalability of the backend system
- Translate user intents into complex streaming Flink pipelines
- Work closely with customers and front-end developers to deliver an excellent user experience
- Wear many hats: developer, designer, product owner, mentor, architect, support engineer, and sales engineer
Requirements
- Experience with distributed systems
- Experience with modern Java web applications
- Experience with building RESTful APIs for end users and front-end development
- Cares deeply about the user experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with building large scale data and analytical applications
- Experience with stream processors
- Has been at an early stage startup before
- Comfortable with the rapidly evolving nature of an early stage startup

Work Arrangement

Team
Team size: smaller than 10 people. Structure: Flat team structure with shared responsibilities; engineers contribute across roles including development, design, product, mentoring, architecture, support, and sales engineering.
