Responsibilities
- Create and refine GraphQL APIs that support dynamic, data-intensive user interfaces
- Manage data workflows across the platform, including ingestion, transformation, and querying of large-scale datasets using BigQuery
- Build server-side applications primarily in JavaScript and TypeScript using Node.js, with Python used where appropriate
- Collaborate with frontend, AI, and product teams to meet sprint goals and rapidly release new functionality
- Construct systems for collecting, enhancing, and distributing data to both internal and client-facing platforms
- Improve the efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability of backend services as the system grows
- Contribute to technical architecture discussions and help define engineering standards and practices
