This role involves developing and managing cloud-based applications and infrastructure using Azure technologies, supporting mission-critical systems with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable solutions on the Azure cloud platform
- Develop infrastructure as code using tools like ARM templates and Terraform
- Implement and manage cloud security controls and identity management
- Support migration of on-premises workloads to Azure
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud environment issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance
- Maintain compliance with federal security standards
- Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD practices
- Monitor cloud resources and recommend cost-saving improvements
- Participate in system design reviews and technical planning
Nice to Have
- Azure Developer or Azure Solutions Architect certification
- Experience working in government or defense-related IT projects
- Hands-on work with serverless computing in Azure
- Background in agile software development methodologies
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Azure Monitor or Application Insights
